RAY WESTON

Ray Weston  Click on picture to enlarge Ray Weston , age 43, is no stranger to Wishbone Ash. After doing some work with Martin Turner in the early 80's. Ray was asked to join the recording session on the "Strange Affair" CD. After doing more songs on the "Strange Affair" CD than current drummer Robie France, Ray was asked to join the band full time. (Steve Upton, left just before the recording of Strange Affair and left the music business for good) Before Wishbone, Ray played in Bill Wymans's band, Ultravox, Big Audio Dynamite and with Cliff Richard's. Ray has kept busy in the London music scene. As you know, with Ash, Ray gets full credit on the "Live in Chicago" CD which has been acclaimed as one of the best live recordings ever done by Wishbone Ash. Ray took some time off during the recording of "Illuminations" and was asked to come back to Wishbone when Mike Sturgis could not commit to all the tour dates. Ray has worked on and off with Wishbone Ash since 1991. I have had the pleasure of seeing Ray perform and have had several interviews with him as well as many diners! Great Scotland Chap!!! Wishbone is not lacking in any talent or crowd appeal. Keep it going guys! Best Regards, Dr. John Ray Weston  Click on Picture to enlarge
