Release of "Argus."
5th June 1972
Flew to America to start third tour.
19th June 1972
Played St. Louis and after the show the truck containing all our
equipment was stolen from the hotel. We were never to see it again.
21st June 1972
Flew back to London. Martin had been suffering stomach pains whist in
America and put it down to seafood poisoning. On our arrival in England
he was diagnosed as having appendicitis and confined to bed. I remember
visiting him just after the doctor told him he would have to have them
out in the hospital, he was horror struck.
26 July 1972
Flew to America to start our fourth tour. Next day played our first
gigs with Alice Cooper.
August 1972
"Argus" voted album of the year 1972, by "Sound" and "Melody Maker"
readers poll.
29th August 1972
Returned to London.
September 1972
Played a few gigs in England including Buxton Festival and the
"Melody Maker" Awards gig at the Oval Cricket ground. We were meant to
receive our award for Best Album but were late for the ceremony.
10th October - 12th November 1972
Fifth tour of America
18th November 1972
Start U.K. Tour.
12th February 1973
Started recording our fourth album, "Wishbone Four."
28th March - 4th June 1973
Sixth and seventh U.S. Tours.
May 1973
Release of "Wishbone Four" LP, features Ted playing steel guitar for
the first time.

16th June 1973
Start U.K. tour and start recording live shows for double live album
"Live Dates."
8th August 1973 - 6th February 1974
8th, 9th, 10th U.S. Tours.
21st February 1974
Started rehearsals for new album.
